Pennyroyal: This miniature member of the mint family is primarily a woman's remedy. Use to bring on period and complete the menstrual cycle. Specific remedy if suppressed menstruation and the person is pale with, or without, dark circles under the eyes. The external application of Pennyroyal extract or Pennyroyal oil is used to keep away insects (IF NOT PREGNANT). Specific for menstrual cramping, gas, decongestant, sores in the mouth, and colds. For external use, apply to exposed areas as needed. SPECIAL NOTE: As with all herbs that have cleaning properties all discharges that occur as a result of Pennyroyal's use should be viewed as positive evidence of cleaning, not a cause for alarm.
